Our Charity Donations
The Letting Centre aims to be a responsible employer and player in the property sector, and takes pride in its donations towards good causes.
We are pleased to have provided support for the following charities. The Letting Centre have donated over £140,000 to good causes since 2000, with approximately £90,000 having been donated to local charities.
![]() | South West Blood Bikes: The Letting Centre made a donation to South West Blood Bikes in 2024 which is a charity run entirely by volunteers. The blood bikers provide a free, out-of-hours transportation service for essential medical supplies, such as blood, plasma, platelets, and pathology samples, to hospitals and hospices throughout Devon and beyond. |
![]() | Foodsave: is a not-for-profit charity, set up to create zero-food waste communities. They are dedicated to collecting surplus food from commercial food stores, community allotments, and other, safe sources for distribution to local communities across the region. The Letting Centre have made donations in 2023 & 2024 to help Foodsave provide this service in Honiton. |
| The Miscarriage Association: provide support and information to anyone who has experienced a miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy or molar pregnancy. Tracey, who works for the Letting Centre, did a 15,000 ft skydive and also walked 250,000 steps to raise money for this charity. The Letting Centre made a donation to Tracey’s fundraising page in 2023. | |
| Quiet Minds | The Quiet Mind Centre: is a charity based in Exmouth, East Devon. The Letting Centre have made donations to the Quiet Mind Centre to help them to continue to improve well-being and mental health in the community by providing counselling and other complementary therapies to adults on a very low income. |
![]() | Exmouth Museum & Heritage Centre: provide historical information about the people of Exmouth and the past of the fishing village. The museum is run by volunteers and they rely on donations and fundraisers. The Letting Centre have donations since 2021 to help the museum to continue their work. |
| Epilepsy Action: support people who are living with epilepsy. The research and quality improvement projects they carry out, fund and support has a large, positive impact on the lives of people living with epilepsy. The Letting Centre made a donation to Epilepsy Action in 2021. | |

![]() | Withycombe Primary School: The Letting centre purchased some Chrome Books for Withycombe Raleigh C of E Primary School during Covid-19 to help pupils with their learning. |
![]() | Exmouth Communty Larder: The Letting Centre have made various donations to Exmouth Community Larder including a donation during Covid-19. Exmouth Community Larder provide emergency food parcels to people in need in the Exmouth area. |
| Open Door Exmouth: The Letting centre have made various donations to Open Door Exmouth which is a christian charity based in Exmouth providing support to people in the community through six projects; the community cafe, nightshift, the child contact centre, men’s shed, haven and the ice project. We also made a donation in 2020 to provide asssistance during Covid-19. | |
| | Winter Comfort: In 2018 the Letting Centre donated to Winter Comfort which is a charity supporting people who are homeless or at risk of losing their home in Cambridge. Winter comfort supports men and women and provides welfare services, learning and training and self esteem programmes. |
![]() | Devon Freewheelers: The Letting Centre donated to Devon Freewheelers in 2017 who are a self-financing voluntary organisation providing their skills and expertise free of charge to provide an out of hours and weekend emergency response courier service to the NHS delivering essential blood, samples and medication to hospitals. |
![]() | Ride-On: We have also donated to the Ride-on charity which is based in Exeter. Ride-on are a volunteer driven organisation helping the local community to build skills to maintain their bikes. Their aim is to “Get More People Riding More Often” on safe affordable recycled bicycles. |
![]() | Dream-A-Way: In 2012 the Letting Centre made a donation to the Dream-A-Way charity who provide holidays and day trips to people living in Devon, Cornwall and the Scilly Isles with physical and learning difficulties. The volunteers provide their time and services freely and more than 99% of all funds raised goes straight towards helping others. |
![]() | Zimbabwe Agricultural Welfare Trust (ZWAT): The Letting Centre donated to the ZAWT in 2012. The ZAWT was established in 2001 to provide support for the farming community in Zimbabwe. Funding is gained through efforts of the Trustees and all funding is provided directly to the project in Zimbabwe. |
![]() | Devon Wildlife Trust: The Letting Centre donated to Devon Wildlife Trust in 2012, 2021 and 2024, which was created to secure the future of wildlife in Devon by protecting the key sites it depends on. Devon Wildlife Trust currently manages 58 diverse nature reserves, creating safe havens in which wildlife can thrive. |
![]() | Exmouth Christmas Lights (ECL): In 2012 we made a donation to ECL which is a non-profit organisation aiming to raise money to help fund the Christmas lights in Exmouth each year, run by local residents and business owners who volunteer in their spare time. |
![]() | Centre Stage: The Letting Centre have made various donations to Centre Stage, a youth theatre group in Exmouth. Centre Stage a self-funding charity who aim to advance the education of children and young people in music and performing arts. Members have the opportunity to perform a wide variety of shows, working with experienced professionals, developing their singing, dancing and acting skills. |
| Children in Need: Also in 2011 The Letting Centre made a donation to Children in Need whose aim is to improve the lives of children all over the UK. Children in Need provide grants to projects in the UK which focus on children and young people who are disadvantaged. | |
| Unicef: In 2011 The Letting Centre sponsored Katrina Ives when she completed the London Marathon in aid of Unicef, a charity whose aim is to support and protect children’s rights around the world. | |
| Macmillan Cancer Support: The Letting Centre sponsored Birgitta Paine in 2010 when she completed a Danceathon in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support, taking part in 10 dance classes in 10 hours. Macmillan help to improve the lives of people affected by cancer providing them with practical, emotional and financial support. | |
| Marie Curie Cancer Care: Also, in September 2010 the Letting Centre sponsored Miki Wells who completed the Ben Nevis Walk in aid of Marie Curie who help to care for people with cancer and other terminal illnesses. | |
![]() | Sidmouth Living with Cancer Support Group: We have made various donations to the Sidmouth Living with Cancer Support Group. We also designed and produced their own leaflet. The support group has been in existence since 2001, and their aim is to help and encourage sufferers, as well as their carers, to be positive and introducing them to others so that they can share knowledge to help themselves. |
![]() | Race for Life: On 20 June 2010, Elaine Braidy (see image, left) completed the 5K Race for Life, along with her mother, in 1 hour and 8 minutes. The Letting Centre helped sponsor Elaine, who raised £250. The Race for Life is Cancer Research UK’s flagship event with over 230 events taking place across the UK to raise money and help beat cancer. |
![]() | Connect Centre: The Letting Centre have made various donations to the Elim Connect Centre in Wells, Somerset for the purchase of new IT equipment and other funding needs. We have also made a donation for assistance during Covid-19. The Connect Centre is a multi-purpose facility for the whole community, helping to develop effective relationships between people and organisations, in order to make a difference in and around Wells. |
![]() | Tax Payers’ Alliance: In 2008 The Letting Centre made a donation to the TaxPayers’ Alliance. The TaxPayers’ Alliance was formed in 2004 and campaigns for lower taxes and tax payers’ rights. The Letting Centre also donated in 2011 and 2012 to help towards campaigning for fair taxes. |
![]() | Exmouth Lifeboat Station Appeal: In 2007 The Letting Centre chose to support our local RNLI by donating £1,000 towards the new boathouse which was constructed in 2009. The station is situated in Exmouth and houses both the Mersey Class All Weather Lifeboat “Margaret Jean”, with its carriage and tractor, and the D Class Inshore Lifeboat “George Bearman.” |
![]() | Devon Air Ambulance: The Letting Centre made donations to the Devon Air Ambulance in 2006 and 2011 which provides an important and necessary service to the local community. The Devon Air Ambulance Trust raises funds to keep 2 emergency Air Ambulances flying, and is completely independent of central or local government. |
![]() | Sustrans Cycle Network: The Letting Centre have donated to the Sustrans Cycle Network who carry out excellent work setting up local routes which reduce traffic congestion and provide a sustainable transport network. |
![]() | Fairbridge: We have also donated to Fairbridge in 2005, a national charity supporting young and vulnerable people, working against the challenges of inner-city life. |
| Guide Dogs for the Blind: The Letting Centre made a donation in 2004 to Guide Dogs for the Blind who rely on donations to continue their life-changing work to help make a difference to people living with sight loss. The donation made went towards helping to train a guide dog puppy. | |
![]() | Exe Sailing Club: The Letting Centre donated money to the Exe Sailing club (junior class support) in 2003 to help young people improve their sailing skills and compete in national race events. The Club, situated in Exmouth close to the marina/harbour at the mouth of the beautiful Exe estuary, is the largest sailing club on the Exe and encourages all forms of sailing. |
![]() | St. Joseph’s Catholic Primary School: In 2002, The Letting Centre donated money to St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School in Exmouth. St Joseph’s School was founded in 1904 by the Sisters of the Convent of the Holy Family. The school is a fully equipped seven-classroom primary school which occupies a pleasant site overlooking the Exe estuary. |
