Have EPC regulations for Let properties changed? 1 Year, 8 Months ago
We all know that since HIPs were suspended the requirement has been relaxed for obtaining an EPC for marketing a property for sale. However, although I have been told by one or two authorities that the requirement for Let properties is also the same, I cannot find anything on the web, even the government websites, to confirm this. We often let a property within 28 days of being instructed so the tenant would not have an opportunity to see the EPC before starting the tenancy!
Can anyone point me to an authoritative source?

The relevant authority is the The Energy Performance of Buildings (Certificates and Inspections) (England and Wales) Regulations.

Since October 2008 all Landlords must provide tenants with an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) for the property.
