deisrepair local councils and letting agents 2 Years ago  
I have been advised by my local council that as a letting agent I am responsible for all repairs that are needed to a property and that I should pay for them and then claim the money back from the Landlord. If I do not get the repairs done the local council will prosecute me. Is this correct?

Landlords rather than agents are liable for property repairs see attached factsheet
