I had a visit from police this morning to tell me that one of my tenants has been reported missing - she has a history of  mental health problems - not taken anything with her, not unpacked despite moving into flat 6 weeks ago, spoke to HB and they are still waiting on proof of income from her to sort out her claim.  No rent was paid on 3rd September and its due again on 3rd Oct.  I did speak to her on 11th and she rang hb to find out what the problem was but never took in proof of income and has not been seen since wed evening when she was at her parents.  She left the keys to the flat in the flat and door unlocked.  My landlord is concerned as he is reliant on the rent to pay the mortgage on the property and will have real problems without rent money -  normally with 2 months arrears we would issue section 8 but how do we deal with this and gain possession asap.  I feel awful posting this as am concerned for her welfare but obviously have a duty of care to my landlord as well.
