Is obligatory that we must fit smoke detectors to rented property ?

why wouldnt you want to put in a smoke detector.Its protecting life and your property.

Putting Fire Alarms into HMO is now a requirement by the majority of Fire officers. Without them installed your risking the lives of your tennants as well as taking the risk of getting a notice from your local authority. Which means you will need to put in an alarm anyway
