HI
I have been waiting for 6 weeks for my landlord to repair the boiler and my three children and myself  have had no running hot water for that time. It transpires he had to take out a new insurance policy and wait over a month before claiming.

I had to pay my rent six monthly in advance as being a new single parent  I had no income record to satisfy the letting agents.
my rent is over £2000 pm! NB I am not on benefits

There was also a crack in an external wall that needed repairing and I am still waiting for the internal decoration to be finished, some 10 months later, including repairs to wall sockets.

I am severely ill with pleurisy and pneumonia and now my landlord says I am in breach of my tenancy for not being able to " maintain the garden fortnightly " those being the wording in the tenancy agreement and no description of maintenance work required
He has also accused me of being "unclean"

Have I a claim for compensation regarding the water?
and has he the right to withold the deposit under these circumstances?

also I am very concerned I might be party to some kind of insurance fraud regarding the boiler.
