"We paid our landlord a six month rent in advanc. Now that we need repairs to be done in the flat, he is taking a long time to do them saying that ""things go wrong"". I mean 13 days without a shower I believe is too much. What are my rights? What can I do? Where can I go to get him to either gime us the money back or do the repairs much faster?

Tenants have rights to have repairs carried out and pay for them out of the rent.

How was it he took six months rent from you?

I do not think that is normal or fair.

You can ask a rent tribunal to look at it but first write to the landlord and ask the questions.
