Title: Property Repairs Post by: Wendy on January 29, 2007, 01:39:00 PM "We paid our landlord a six month rent in advanc. Now that we need repairs to be done in the flat, he is taking a long time to do them saying that ""things go wrong"". I mean 13 days without a shower I believe is too much. What are my rights? What can I do? Where can I go to get him to either gime us the money back or do the repairs much faster?

How was it he took six months rent from you? I do not think that is normal or fair. You can ask a rent tribunal to look at it but first write to the landlord and ask the questions.
