Title: Termination period when property is for sale
Post by: Dze on November 24, 2006, 01:40:01 PM
Hello,

I would like to know what is the termination period to leave a rented property in the following case:
- I signed a contract a year and half ago: 1year contract, with 1 month termination period
- Recently, the property has been sold and the new landlord has put the property for sale

Am I still obliged to wait the 1 month as per contract or in this situation am I allowed to leave the property as soon as I find another one?

Thanks,
Dze

You would still be obliged to give one months notice

Interesting.

Did the tenancy agreement transfer with the sale of the property?
