Question Title: Squatters

Question:
410
One of our tenants moved out of his flat at the end of his tenancy.  We had carried out a 'check out' at the end of the tenancy and there were no problems.  The landlord had decided that the property needed redecorating but when the decorators turned up for work at the property this morning there are squatters in occupation.  What do I do?
Answer:
You will need to contact the county court in which the property is situated. They will be able to supply you with the relevant forms necessary to obtain an interim Possession order.  This new quicker procedure is explained in their information form EX332 which will guide you through the process.  The forms that you will require are the following which can be downloaded from the Court Service website www.hmcourts-service.gov.uk. You will need:-
N5 Claim form for possession of property
N130  Application for an interim possession order, this includes a statement to support an application for possession and for an interim possession order.
