| I have heard that there is now a new section 13 notice. Do I have to throw all my old ones away?

| You are correct - there are new forms for the landlord's notice proposing a new rent under an Assured Periodic Tenancy under Section 13(2) Housing Act 1988. The Department of Communities and Local Government, formerly the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister (ODPM), has issued a new form for this purpose. The new notice came into force on 20th February 2002. Both forms could continue to be used until 20th June 2002 when the old form was revoked.
