Question Title: Electrician Wanted.

Question:
27
How do we find a competent electrician to do an electrical survey on a property ?
Answer:
One of the main bodies that governs the registration and training of electrical engineers is the Joint Industry Board for the Electrical Contracting Industry (JIB). Landlords and property managers are recommended to employ electricians that are J.I.B registered; registered engineers will also carry an appropriate J.I.B. ID card. The registration involves a time served apprenticeship together with as well as formal examination. Other electrical contractors may also be a member of the ECA (Electrical Contractors Association). As well as being JIB registered, their members also work to a published code of fair trading registered with the office of Fair Trading. ECA members' work and its completion are covered by an ECA Warranty and Bond. The Electrical Contractors Association may be contacted on Tel. 020 7313 4800.
