I am informed that it is illegal to take a dilapidations deposit larger than two month's rent. Is this true - What Is the maximum size of deposit that can be taken?
Answer:
For Assured and Assured Shorthold Tenancies there is no restriction on the size of the deposit that may be taken for dilapidations.
