Question Title: Section 48s

Question:
215
Are we required to furnish the landlords address in order to comply with s48 of The Landlord and Tenant Act 1987 or can we use a c/o address as managing agents ?
Answer:
A notice specifying the address at which the landlord may be served notices must be provided in order to comply with section 48 of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1987, and a managing agents address will suffice. The section 48 notice may be incorporated within your tenancy agreement or may be served as a separate notice. Tenants do, however, have the right to know the name and address of their landlord and an agent is under an obligation to furnish this information once requested. Section 1 of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985 requires that, providing the tenant has requested the information in writing, the name and address of the landlord be supplied to the tenant within 21 days of the request.
