What are the main requirements of the section 8 route for obtaining possession of a property?
Answer:
It can only be used in conjunction with the 17 defined grounds listed in Sch. 2 Housing Act 1988. Landlord must be able to prove one of these grounds. Can be invoked during the fixed term or periodic tenancy. Notice, the length of which varies according to the ground used, is required before proceedings.
