Question Title: Bonding and holding of tenant/landlord monies

Question:
145
The tenancy agreements that I use state that I hold the deposits as 'stakeholder'. One of my landlord's has just terminated his management agreement with me and wants the deposit that I hold to be given to him. What should I do?
Answer:
The deposit remains the property of the tenant throughout and any transfer of the deposit would require the consent of both the landlord and tenant. Without the tenant's consent no transfer could be made.
