| I am thinking of purchasing a property in an area where there is a registration scheme for Houses in Multiple Occupation in operation. I was thinking of using the property that I am going to buy for six tenants. What difference will registration make?

| Registration is intended to strengthen the powers of local authorities to control existing HMO's and to improve standards. They can refuse to register properties that are substandard.
