| I understand that the rules for Single Room rents have recently changed. What is the effect of the new changes ?

| From 2 July 2001, the scope of Single Room Rents (SRR) has been broadened. Previously, the SSR in any particular locality only reflected the cost of very basic accommodation where the tenant just had exclusive use of his own bedroom. Under the revised formula, it will be assumed that the tenant also has shared use of a living room, kitchen and bathroom.
