Question Title: AST - s.20 Notice

Question:
5
Do I need to serve a s.20 notice (Notice of Assured Shorthold Tenancy) when I grant an AST ?
Answer:
Since the Housing Act 1996 came into force (Feb 28 1997), there is no longer any requirement for the s20 notice to be served. For tenancies prior to this date, there was a requirement that a landlord correctly served the s.20 notice on the tenant prior to the commencement of the tenancy
