Couhncil rehousing of tenant after possession 1 Year, 9 Months ago
My local council is refusing to rehouse a repossessed/evicted tenant until the bailiff knocks on the door and physically removes them. I understand there are some guidelines ( somewhere ) which say that a council is under an obligation to rehouse once possession/eviction becomes inevitable i.e. once the court has granted that possession order after a Section 21 hearing and the period of time set by the Court has expired. many thanks for any assistance. It is my understanding that many Councils wait until the possession order has been granted by the court.

I would suggest contacting the Council in question and asking them what their requirements are.
